Anyone familiar with Intercable knows how much we value sustainability and environmental protection. As one of the largest companies in the Puster Valley area, we strive to constantly set an example and demonstrate what each individual can contribute to the planet.
This commitment gave rise to the "Waldliebe" project for the protection of our forests. On May 9, 2024, we paved the way for the initiative: together with 25 employees, we were able to reforest a small forest area in Reischach.
The day began with a brief introduction by Stefan Schwingshackl, the head of the Bruneck forestry station, who also provided the plants. After explaining the process, we got to work. In total, we were able to plant 400 saplings of various species in the forest soil.
Afterwards, our diligent helpers were rewarded for their efforts and treated to a barbecue by our company restaurant's chef.
We hope our saplings thrive beautifully until we check on them in the fall. That’s when the project enters its second phase: applying browsing protection.
